Leeward studio is a team of designers and craftspersons working primarily in furniture and bespoke cabinetry drawing on a mindset of enduring craft and human design

Formed in 2018 by Gina Kim and John Geating, the two collaborate on many projects while offering individual contributions throughout. As designers and makers, the hands-on experience of creating is inextricably tied to the form each piece eventually becomes.  They are constantly building on the self-taught techniques and traditional approaches they have gathered over the years.

Leeward offers a collection of thoughtful pieces of furniture and art designed and hand made in their shop. Alongside these offerings, the studio works with commercial and residential clients to design and build custom cabinetry, furniture, and unique projects.

Gina studied textile design at RISD and has been making art since she could hold a pencil.  Check out her personal art [here]. John is a self taught woodworker. They live and work together in Abington, PA.
