We’ve made a few chairs over the years, but this one feels special. Maybe it’s just timing, or maybe its the 7 different iterations we went through to dial it in, but we’re proud to offer these as a part of our collection. We set parameters for ourselves to keep this one simple, like using only right angles and no steam bending. By doing this it forced us to find subtle ways to dial in both comfort and proportion. Drawing on traditional techniques for the construction of this chair, we believe these chairs will stand the test of time, both functionally and aesthetically.

This specific chair was the fifth iteration we made during the design process. All the parts for the frame were cut from a salvaged long leaf pine beam out of an old Philly warehouse, while the seat is woven with authentic danish cord. For this version we shaped a more swept backrest and dropped the top of it by one inch. Not the final design, but handsome and comfortable nonetheless.
