Drawing inspiration from the low folding tables we grew up with in Asian households, we wanted to design a modern version with a simple locking mechanism. After months of brainstorming, we realized that these toggle clamps which are a favorite in the shop for jigs and fixtures could satisfy the needed function. They are mounted on a horizontal rail underneath that doubles as a handle for easy transport.

This is the second iteration of this design and the square legs and top profile feels the most reminiscent of the low red tables it was born from.
